Itikaf Camp is a unique 10-day Ramadan retreat hosted in different mosques across Europe.
Each year, we bring together dedicated young Muslims from across the continent to experience the final 10 nights of Ramadan in a spiritually uplifting, structured, and welcoming environment.Our camps are designed to help you disconnect from daily distractions, deepen your knowledge, strengthen your connection to Allah, and build bonds with a diverse group of brothers from around the world — all while experiencing a new city and local Muslim community.
Our aim is not to fill the day with lessons - we know that you need time for prayers, worship, rest and personal reflections.

Shaykh Imran has been seeking traditional knowledge, researching and teaching since the late 1990s, which has taken him to various cities around the UK. He studied a BA in International Relations (Leeds University), an MA in Islamic Theology (Leiden University) and a PhD in Theology and Religious Studies (Cambridge). Additionally, he studied traditional Islamic Studies in various institutes and privately with teachers in Syria, Pakistan, Turkey and Indonesia. He has researched and taught at St-Andrews University, al-Maktoum College, Dundee, Trinity College Dublin and the University of Cambridge.
What is i‘tikāf?
I‘tikāf is a spiritual retreat in the masjid during the last 10 nights of Ramadan, focused on worship, reflection, and remembrance of Allah.
Do I need any prior knowledge to join?
No. All levels of Islamic knowledge are welcome. Shaykh Imran will teach in a simple and practical way.
Is accommodation provided?
Yes. Participants stay inside the masjid in a designated area. You’ll need to bring your own sleeping bag and essentials (we provide a packing list).
Are meals included?
Yes - the suhoor and iftar meals are included.
How much does it cost?
Our generous host will cover most costs. There is a €100/£100 fee which will contribute to administration and logistics.
Is travel included?
Travel to the host city is not included. We help coordinate arrival times and offer guidance to make travel easier.
Can I leave the masjid during itikaf?
Only for valid reasons permitted in fiqh (e.g., washroom, wudu). We explain all rules clearly during orientation.
What is the daily schedule like?
A mix of personal worship, Qur’an reading, short lessons, rest, group discussions, and community engagement. Full schedules are shared before arrival.
